Rainsuit: efficiency-conscious design - Waterproof workwear

Working in the rain is a real ordeal when you're not properly dressed for the occasion. Fortunately, the manufacturers of workwear have thought of everything. Among the PPE (personal protective equipment), we can mention the rain suits which exist in several models. To be effective at work, nothing beats the best protective equipment providing both safety and comfort.

      Rainsuit: weatherproof waterproofing

Rainsuits are PPE intended for work in rainy environments. They are designed in such a way that you will never get wet in the downpour, so that you can work in optimal conditions despite the rainy weather.

There are rain suits that offer waterproofing without any risk of being hit by raindrops, even in strong winds. And for good reason, their manufacture follows the European standard EN 343. But, what is it?

The EN343 standard specifies the different requirements on the design of rain suits, which are part of protective clothing against bad weather. These requirements concern in particular the materials used for the manufacture of the garment as well as the seams between the different parts so that the seal is total.

Rainsuits must also have two types of performance, one of which is resistance to water penetration, which is expressed in thousands of Pascals (kPa). This is the garment's ability to resist water pressure. The other performance is the evaporative resistance which corresponds to the capacity of the fabric to evacuate the water vapor released by the user, that is to say, his perspiration.

In other words, the rain suits are both waterproof and breathable so you won't feel any heat or sweat buildup.

The rain suits are therefore designed according to the European standard EN 343. Among other things, they are waterproof thanks to materials that are completely waterproof against showers with welded seams. These make it possible to join the different parts of the garment well, because the technique of the welded seam consists in heating and pressing together two edges of fabric under a heat-welded tape. In order to reinforce the whole against stretching, the whole is sewn with a topstitching thread, which at the same time avoids any penetration of liquid from the outside to the inside.

So that the wearer has no difficulty putting on their rain outfit, generally , the manufacturers pose a double slide starting from the feet to the neck. The zipper is more practical on this kind of work clothes. The user can at the same time not remove his clothes while putting on his rain suit. With a zip up and down, he can put on his work clothes and operate in heavy rain without fear of getting wet from the rain.

For complete protection, the rain suits have a hood to protect the head from the elements. For work in these conditions, it also provides better visibility. Thanks to drawstrings, it is easier to completely seal the head.

      High visibility rain suits

Sometimes an intervention in the field is at risk to require the wearing of high-visibility clothing. In torrential rain, rain suits are not enough to be completely safe. Thus, manufacturers combine the specificities of these work clothes with those of high visibility vests.

Rain suits are indeed available for responders and field agents working in high-risk areas such as highways for example. These work clothes are waterproof and breathable while being provided with fluorescent and reflective bands. This allows their users to work in the best conditions.

Inexpensive waterproof rain suits at Oxwork - professional clothing for Men/Women

Against the rain and other bad weather, the rain suit is the most functional among the individual equipment against the rain as they constitute a single set to protect yourself. In fact, it covers all parts of the body, from head to toe, unlike rain jackets alone or pants alone. Plus, they're easy to put on and take off.

On the site, you have a wide choice of rain suits adapted to all sizes and all tastes and of course of an irreproachable quality of resistance to rain according to the standards in force. Are part of the collection:

      • Full rain suit
      • The waterproof rain suit
