By law, all paramedics must wear professional protective clothing while on duty. Included in this gear is the paramedic pants. The employee has the obligation to give the garment to his agent.

As paramedics are often confronted with serious and risky situations, they must put on equipment adapted to their function. These must be comfortable, resistant, visible during the night so that motorists can see it in full operation.

        Standards for paramedic trousers

The paramedic trousers must comply with the EN 471 standard. This standard covers requirements for high visibility clothing testing and design methods for professional use. Solidity and resistance are not to be banished either in the quality of these outfits. When choosing your pants, they should be resistant to heat sources, intensive washing and friction.

During winter, trousers must comply with the EN 342 standard. This model protects the paramedic from the cold. During the hot and rainy seasons, the pants must be of standard EN 343 which protects them from heavy rain, i.e. waterproof.

        Women's ambulance pants

The paramedic pants for women must provide comfort without bothering her for hours. He must ensure his safety by performing his professional duties and meet the requirements of the trade. When an ambulance is in full service, she can intervene during the day and at night, sometimes in very difficult conditions. These women's work trousers must allow its wearers to perform various maneuvers without risk to them and to the patients they have to transport.

Many models are available for this type of workwear. Most are made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, two Italian pockets, two thigh pockets, two back pockets with flaps, colored reflective bands on the calves.

        Men's ambulance pants

Like ambulance pants for women, those for men must also meet the required safety standards. Paramedics often face difficult working conditions and in very extreme situations. Their pants should be comfortable so they can perform their job safely.

The models of paramedic pants are very wide, but their fabrics are always composed of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. They can have two Italian pockets and a pocket on each side of the thigh, two back pockets with flap, one or more retro-reflective bands, an elastic waistband on each side

        The colors of paramedic pants

Each color of workwear is associated with a specific job. If any time, companies break this rule. Paramedic pants are always white or blue. This color is dedicated to the medical profession and as they are part of the medical staff, their outfit must also be based on this color.

        Navy blue paramedic pants

Often the navy blue paramedic pants are accompanied by a grey retro-reflective band on each part of the leg. This does not prevent other models from having yellow or orange retro-reflective strips. Its weight is about 250g. They are often composed of seven pockets: 2 Italian pockets, 2 thigh pockets, and two behind. This navy blue color camouflages the dirt that the paramedic may have during his mission.

        White ambulance pants

White paramedic pants are often waterproof i.e. for summer, but these white work clothes are also available for winter. Its retro-reflective bands are yellow, orange or green to better stand out from the white color. The downside of this color is that you can see splatter stains from bits or other dirt.
