The fibers catch on each other through heat and movement. You have to stop the cycle and check from time to time, because the wool shrinks very quickly.

After the cycle is complete, check to see if you got the size you want. Otherwise, you can shrink it further in the tumble dryer on a short cycle and low heat. Remember to stop the machine regularly to prevent the coveralls from shrinking too much.

For the hand method, take a basin or fill your bathtub with lukewarm water, add a small amount of detergent and mix gently. Then immerse the overalls in it and let it run for 5 to 10 minutes. To dry it, lay it flat on a table. Then take a towel and dab it.

When you take measurements, do not press it against the body and make sure it is not twisted. Take a model a few centimeters wider than your measurements to be comfortable in your movements.
